EQUIPMENT APPROVAL AND TYPE REGISTRATION
INTRODUCING NEW EQUIPMENT
Our drive to deliver new and innovative ideas and solutions plus our experience in client type registration processes provide an opportunity for new plant and equipment manufacturers and suppliers to engage for support to develop and introduce new products to clients.

We offer services that will assist with technical non-compliance challenges and help determine and liaise mitigation strategies and actions required. Where appropriate and based on value engineering considerations, we will assist with Technical Deviation Approval processes.

Key to type acceptance/registration processes is compliance with internationally recognised standards and independently verified and audited testing and inspection of products during and after manufacturing.
Equally important is subcomponent compliance which requires supply chain auditing. We offer assistance with these and other associated requirements.

We can produce a clear plan from day one to achieve equipment type registration. This commences with an assessment of a products viability followed by establishing route to market through to the review process with the system operators.

Once a suitable product for the UK market has been identified the next step is to identify suitable projects for the equipment and develop a business case for the system operators to review and approve. Type registration cannot be started until a suitable project has been identified.

When a suitable project is confirmed the equipment, manufacturer needs to demonstrate the products meet the rigorous technical standards set by transmission system operators. This includes a self-certification process and supporting evidence.

Any additional testing requirements will be identified at this point. Integrated Power International will project manage this to ensure clear communication between all parties.

The final step is for the equipment manufacturer to submit all relevant information to the network operators for final approval

We have experience of gas insulated switchgear, wound components and HV cable.
